Aug 2021 • Friends. This is a great spot for open water swimming. There's a car park 50 yards from the beach (£4.50 for two hours; get there before 9am) and a short walk from the beach to the water. Other than the car park, there's no charge. You do need to keep an eye out for kayakers, SUPs and the odd small motor boat.
